Hyperconnectivity: The internet at a glance

This virtual performance was held on December 4th, 2020 via Zoom.

Before the performance, I composed a two-hour internet sample which was projected on a large TV. The TV was my only sound and light source which would flicker and change colour, exposing the installation and costume consumed with string and wire. The string and wire wrapped into each other with the assistance of crochet chain stitches, thus blurred any distinction between the environment and the self.

When the audience entered the digital space, they were asked to leave their speaker on at all times and to interact with a separate digital device. What resulted was an experimental video and soundscape which sampled the various forms of entertainment accessible from the internet.
