My Dehumidifier Outlet

Yes it really works.

This project is a large scale combine painting, which plays with the themes of living vs dead in the environment of a living room.

This painting was made in the months of March and April 2020, during the beginning stages of quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. As I relied more on electronic devices to interact with the world, I wanted my painting to also have to depend on electricity in order to fully function.

Today the painting sits in my studio space, used to regulate the humidity in the room, for the sake of my comfort and most importantly, for the sake of its preservation.

My Dehumidifier Outlet 2020 50 x 60 inch canvas Acrylic paint, image transfers, electrical outlet, fabric, wires, extension cords, electricity, dehumidifier, bucket, water.
