The first time I collaborated with Star Nahwegahbo was when she participated as a guest artist for the Redwork: The Emperor of Atlantis, Medicine Page. After the completion of her series for Redwork, we began to collaborate on colouring pages, which have expanded into colouring zines, and additional support material such as logos.

Eglinton Park Community & Mashkiki Gitigaan (Medicine Wheel Garden)

- January to December 2022

As the Illustrator and Designer for the colouring book zine Eglinton Park Community & Mashkiki Gitigaan (Medicine Wheel Garden), I collaborated with the artist Star Nahwegahbo to create an informative and educational resource that highlights the local pollinators and plants found in Eglinton Park, a public park in Toronto. The goal of this project is to foster increased awareness and appreciation for the natural world within the local community while also promoting Indigenous values and language regarding the natural world.

My responsibilities included collecting and illustrating photographs of the local pollinators and plants, as well as designing the layout and format of the zine and individual page format.

SWEETWATER - January to April 2023

I continued to collaborate with the artist Star Nahwegahbo on another zine project. The goal of this zine was to create an informative and educational resource surrounding the idea of harvesting sweetwater and springtime.

Activities in this book include word-search puzzles, counting, and design activities. This zine can also be printed in individual page format.
